Our approach
We’re KB2, a Bristol-based civil and structural engineering practice working with developers, housebuilders, architects and project teams. Since 1982 (formerly Kenneth Brown and Partners), we’ve helped shape conservation, refurbishment and new build projects across education, commercial, industrial, healthcare and residential sectors. Much of our work starts with what’s already there – understanding how a structure behaves, what it can carry, and where measured changes are neededchange needs a lighter touch. That approach keeps designs practical, proportionate and ready for site.

Our services cover the structural engineering that sits at the heart of most projects, with civil engineering support when roads, drainage, and wider infrastructure need to move in step. We’re often brought in early for feasibility and to give teams confidence on programme and cost, then stay involved through detailed design and construction.
You’ll see us on everything from listed buildings and complex refurbishments to solar PV roof assessments and large-scale residential housing. However the brief is packaged, we aim to be clear, responsive and easy to work with.
