Michael Humphreys

Director

Michael is an enthusiastic and motivated engineer with over 15 years of experience in consultancy. Becoming a Chartered Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers in 2008, he has since become an Institution Professional Review interviewer. Michael previously worked for London based consultants, Price & Myers before joining KB2 in 2015.

Michael has extensive experience in delivering projects in the residential, commercial, education and health care sectors along with specialist knowledge of basement construction.

Nick Price

Director

Nick graduated from Cardiff University in 1994 with a degree in Architectural Engineering and began his career with Jenkins & Potter Consulting Engineers. He has worked as a structural engineer on a broad range of building types, including the £80 million Gunwharf Quays retail development at Portsmouth while with URS.

Nick joined KB2 in 2001 and oversees the financial management of the Practice . Graduate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
Over the last 10 years, Nick has developed the Practice into a leading consultant for the structural installation of PV Arrays.

Tim Pattinson

Director

Tim is a chartered structural engineer (MIStructE) with over 12 years experience across the residential, commercial, education and conservation sectors.

With a keen eye for detail, Tim enjoys engaging with clients and design teams from an early stage to overcome key challenges in the brief and construction sequence. He began his career working as a site engineer on the Blackfriars Rail Bridge refurbishment before joining London based consultants Price & Myers in 2013. Tim joined KB2 in 2021 bringing a balanced mix of new-build, refurbishment and restoration experience with specialist knowledge in basement construction adjacent to listed buildings.

Outside of work Tim is a keen surfer, heading to The Wave, or exploring surf spots in warmer climates. He also enjoys attending the Bristol Last Friday Ride mountain biking trips.

Andy Fielder

Senior Structural Technician

Andy is a highly experienced senior structural technician with over 20 years in the industry.

He enjoys collaborating within a team to communicate drawings and designs as clearly as possible. With a keen eye for detail and presentation, Andy is accomplished in producing general arrangement drawings/details, reinforced concrete detailing, structural steelwork detailing and Revit modelling.

As an experienced perfoming guitarist, Andy enjoys composing and mixing music outside of work as well as creating art.

Amanda Sharp

Administrator

Amanda has been a part of the KB2 team for over 10 years, coming from a background in support roles within construction project management.

Working closely alongside Sam, Amanda’s responsibilities are varied and cover all aspects of the behind-the-scenes administration needed to keep the KB2 gears moving smoothly!

Outside of work you’ll find her spending time with her family, experimenting with vegetarian/vegan recipes or walking in the woods with her mad dog.

Josh Saunders

Graduate Structural Engineer

Josh graduated from the University of Bath in 2025 with a First Class MEng in Civil and Architectural Engineering. He has since joined KB2 as a Graduate Structural Engineer, gaining experience across residential schemes, PV surveying and volume housing projects.

Between his second and third years of university, Josh completed a 12-month placement with a structural engineering firm, working on residential, commercial, temporary installation and staging projects involving all core structural materials. He looks forward to developing this experience further at KB2.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys indoor bouldering and the combination of physical and problem-solving challenges it offers.

Mark Terry

Senior Structural Technician

Mark is a highly experienced Senior Structural Technician with over 40 years in the construction industry, including Nuclear, he has experience with all traditional build materials and is an expert Reinforced Concrete detailer. Mark is experienced in producing bespoke details and CAD drawings & is also experienced in supervising staff & leading his own projects & teams.

In his spare time he is a keen Bristol Bears Supporter & a lifetime follower of West Bromwich Albion, Mark is a family man who loves spending quality time with his Daughters & Grandchildren & also partaking in a good meal & glass of cold cider!!!!!

 

Nauris Brilovskis

Senior Structural Engineer

Nauris is a senior engineer with over 8 years experience in residential, commercial and educational projects from small scale alterations to larger timber/steel frame developments.

Graduating in 2015 from the University of South Wales with a Bacherlor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Nauris began his career undertaking structural assessments of rail bridges before moving into the design of buildings in 2016.

Outside of work he enjoys playing volleyball to a competitive level and surfing in South Wales. As team social secretary, Nauris likes to organise regular office outings.

Oliver Latham

Structural Engineer

Oliver is a structural engineer with two years’ experience in residential, healthcare and commercial projects from domestic alterations to concrete high rise structures.

Graduating from the University of Salford with a First Class BEng in Civil & Architectural Engineering, he worked as a graduate engineer in Manchester city centre before moving to Bristol and joining KB2.

Outside of work, Oliver enjoys staying active through running and indoor climbing.

Tristan Pope

Senior Structural Engineer

Tristan is a Senior Structural Engineer at KB2, responsible for the management and delivery of projects.

After graduating from the University of Leeds with a master’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Tristan has over 14 years’ consultancy experience, based out of practices in Central London and Bristol.

Tristan has been fortunate to work within many high-quality design teams on both new-build structures and projects requiring extensive alterations to existing buildings, using a range of construction materials to deliver appropriate structural designs for the project brief.

Notable past projects have also involved special complexities such as historic / listed building refurbishments, deep basements on constrained sites and vertical extensions of existing buildings.
