KB2 provided structural & civil services on a site at Stockwood Road. The scheme was to convert and extend an existing office building into residential accommodation.
The front section of the building was a five storey concrete frame. KB2 provided structural advice to justify the existing structure and accommodate structural modifications for the proposed use.
The existing rear section of the building was a three storey concrete/ steel frame hybrid. KB2 designed a new steel extension, justified the existing supporting structure, and provided steelwork design for a new facade.
KB2 also provided civil engineering services. New drainage runs were specified to connect the new units in to the existing system.
During the construction phase KB2 were able to provide solutions and answers to any queries that arose. The structural and civil elements of the project were completed in Spring 2018.
