KB2 provided structural and civil advice for substructure, superstructure, drainage, and civil structures. During the design process the client opted for a Structural SIPS panel solution which became a CDP portion with KB2’s superstructure responsibility becoming checking of contractor design input information as well as designing items outside of the SIPS capabilities, such as chimney support beams etc. KB2 also designed a 2m high retaining wall to accommodate the structure, structural foundations, multiple boundary, retaining, and landscaping walls, and drainage design.
As is typical in the area natural Bath Stone was used to clad the superstructure and walls where feasibly possible. The property benefitted from a high spec finish and has fantastic views over the adjacent Manor house and Bath.
