KB2 were the civil and structural engineers for the construction of a flagship new sixth form centre for Clifton High School in Bristol.
The new building sits within the grounds of a grade II listed building which was also refurbished and linked to the new building with a striking glazed walkway.
The new space provides bright, open, flexible accommodation for over 100 students with a common room/cafe area at ground floor and study space on a first floor mezzanine. The glazed end of the building features a double height space to be used for events.
To provide an open vaulted space, KB2 designed the structure using a steel frame with timber infill roof and stone walls.
