Paul Dawson - Partner
Responsible for project cost control and marketing. Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (winner of the Andrews Kent Award for most complete paper) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Paul has over twenty years’ experience in building and civil engineering in both the UK and overseas, starting his career as a technician, while studying part-time to gain his professional qualifications.
He has worked in both the public and private sectors and has wide experience of many aspects of structural engineering, ranging from lightweight tensile structures to large residential developments and marine projects.
While working for Hyder Consulting he was involved in many projects, from designing and detailing reinforced concrete structures for water treatment works, through to the steelwork design for Kuala Lumpur International Airport He has also worked at the ‘sharp end’ of building control at North Wiltshire District Council.
Paul’s hobbies are equally varied. He’s currently in training for the Ironman UK 70.3. He’s also chair of the local Parent Teachers Association and an avid radio controlled model car racer.
