Chris graduated from Swansea University in 2010 with a Masters of Civil Engineering and has over 4 years’ experience covering a range of building and civil structures. Chris is experienced with steel and concrete framed buildings, in producing Revit models as well as design calculations, and has excellent knowledge of Eurocodes. Chris recently joined KB2 having previously worked at The Hambleton Partnership and Peter Brett Associates.
Duncan is a Chartered Engineer with almost 10 years in the construction industry gained across a variety of sectors including residential, education, commercial and healthcare.
Duncan produces structural designs in concrete, steel, timber and masonry, and undertakes finite element design and modelling, project management and structural reports for solar installers. Duncan has project engineered jobs of value up to £80m and has a particular interest in working with historic buildings.
Jack joined KB2 in 2015 and has over 7 years’ experience in the industry.
Jack is experienced in general arrangement detailing, reinforced concrete detailing, structural steelwork detailing, volume housing foundations detailing (including foundations effected by trees) and Revit modelling.
Ken graduated in Structural Engineering from the Brixton School of Building, where he won the Institution of Civil Engineers Prize and then spent his early years working in London, first in contracting with Rush & Tompkins before moving into consulting engineering.
Ken founded KB2 thirty-five years ago and in 2015 converted the Practice from a Limited Liability Partnership to an employee owned company. Ken remains a Director of KB2 and has a special interest in conservation and providing expert witness services.
Mark is a highly experienced Senior Structural Technician with almost 40 years in the construction industry. Mark has experience with all traditional build materials and sectors and is an expert structural detailer as well as technician. Mark is experienced in producing bespoke details and CAD drawings for volume housing projects.
Mark is also experienced in supervising staff and leading his own projects and teams.
Michael is an enthusiastic and motivated engineer with over 15 years of experience in consultancy. Becoming a Chartered Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers in 2008, he has since become an Institution Professional Review interviewer. Michael previously worked for London based consultants, Price & Myers before joining KB2 in 2015.
Michael has extensive experience in delivering projects in the residential, commercial, education and health care sectors along with specialist knowledge of basement construction.
Nick graduated from Cardiff University in 1994 with a degree in Architectural Engineering and began his career with Jenkins & Potter Consulting Engineers. He has worked as a structural engineer on a broad range of building types, including the £80 million Gunwharf Quays retail development at Portsmouth while with URS.
Nick joined KB2 in 2001 and oversees the financial management of the Practice . Graduate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
Over the last 10 years, Nick has developed the Practice into a leading consultant for the structural installation of PV Arrays.
Tristan is a structural engineer with circa 7 years’ experience. Throughout this time he has worked on a broad range of architecturally lead projects, comprising both new build structures and alterations to existing buildings across various sectors. Notable past projects have also involved special complexities such as historic / listed building refurbishments and deep basements.
Will graduated from The University of Salford in 2015 with a Bachelors of Civil Engineering and now has over 3 year experience working in the commercial, educational and residential sectors.
Over this time he has built up experience using the latest software packages such as Tekla whilst developing a solid understanding of Eurocodes to design in range of materials including steel, RC, timber and masonry.
Will joined the KB2 team in November 2018 after working for Cambria and TWP.
