This £4 million construction project featured a 3 storey building with 80 bedrooms, restaurant, bar and conference facilities for Holiday Inn set within a rural location.

KB2 designed both the structural and civil engineering elements of external roads, car park and drainage. The structure is a steel frame, supported on pad foundations, with pre-cast concrete floors at all levels and a timber truss rafter roof. Both the external and internal walls are formed from a metal frame stud system with ‘Sto’ render providing the external finish. Stability of the building is achieved using a pattern of 'fixed' bays combining moment connection and vertical bracing.
